The next edition of the French wine guidebook, the “Guide Hachette des vins” has been finally released the 3rd of September 2025. An opportunity to put forward new gems!
This year, 35,000 wines have been tasted, 8,000 selected, and among them 500 are favorites (“Coup de Coeur”).
The Domaine Delmas is referenced every year. 2026 is not different!
Mémoire 2021 Extra brut – 2 stars, “Coup de Cœur”
“A well-made and chiseled blanquette, with 10% chenin added to the mauzac. The golden colour is a memento of the long aging (36 months) of the base wine, vinificated and aged in barrels. It explains the smoothness of the bubbles and the complex flavors between yellow fruits, beeswax, yeast and acacia flower. Fulfilled, creamy, but lively, the mouth shows the same fruit complexity completed with a touch of minerality at the end of the mouth. Long, distinguished, fresh, it deserves to be set on a table, with scallops and cream.”
Sacres 2021 Extra brut – 1 star
“After 36 months of aging on the racks, the wine did not lose a bit of its original colour, pale gold to silver shades. A delicate sparkle comes with apple scents, white flowers, and a touch of brioche. The pleasant and soft start is followed by great volume in the middle of the mouth, before an end with a clear tasty bitterness. It is perfect for aperitif with pata negra or parmesan shavings.”
Tradition Brut – 1 star
“A fine bubbles cord, an open smell on with green apples and acacia flowers, a lively mouth, slender, elevated by a slight grapefruit zest bitterness: a blanquette full of energy, with crispy fruits, to taste at the aperitif.”
